Goa Gallery

We, a group of ten people decided to go to the place "goa". The name itself is a synonym for true holidaying and fun. this is our last semister of our engineering so we decided not to take any chances and got tickets early. Boarded the train "Goa express" (which was 3 hours late) and the journey began.

11th jan 2007 team goa onboard, it was a sort of overnight journey and rohit and me forgot to take our bedsheets, shivering the whole night we had no better option than to wake up early and enjoy the side scenes, wow were they awesome! reached station "madgaon". Luckily we got a cheap transport , a cool minibus, which made our travel relaxing and joyous.

Lodged on beach in "shaks" ( If that is how u spell them ). Keeping our baggages there, the five day party began. First day, Condullum beach, 50 rs for two full size fish? man is this heaven or what, the veggies along with us, ordered paneer pakodas and what came was the smallest of the so called pakodas we have ever seen, that too after 2 hours of waiting.

" khaane ke maamle mein mere liye goa was "Jannat"," I had all my meals non veg, excellent sea food at really decent prices. Tried nearly everything from crabs to shark, from bear to scotch, whoa... still it all was in my pocket.

We rented five activa's and roamed every where beaches, forts, even to places like kingfisher villa, great experiences to share, even visited the hospital there as i was a bit of sick... poor me. but did not lose much of the adventure, as you can see in the gallery, i don not seem to be sick still i had a high fever, weakness andmost terrible of all a running nose.

well I can, and so can each one of us, can now infer that Aamir Khan in DCH was very true saying that,              " saal mein ek baar ek hafte ke liye goa zaroor aana chahiye"

Goa, one of the smallest states in India's map, with a territory of 3,702 sq km is located in the Western Ghats.

A tropical paradise, it is bathed by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea. Goan culture is a blend of Indian and Iberian: European style central squares and Indian bazaars, Portuguese churches sharing their walls with Hindu temples.

Christianity and Hinduism exist side by side in this state. Having been ruled by the colonial Portuguese for over 450yrs, there is still a distinctive European flavor that has permeated all aspects of Goa's life including its food, religion, language, festivals, dances and names.

Apart from the increasing strength of Indian tourists from outside Goa, a large number of western tourists also arrive using the direct-chartered flights to Goa. and western tourist mean WESTERN tourists, we learnt a lot about there culture and stuff...

Goa is best known for its spectacular beaches and luxurious hotels but there are many old churches, monuments, temples and museums, that are a must see. We went to a church where a wedding ceremony was taking place and my dear friends ( except suri and me ) sat in the church to see it,( i bet they they all were waiting for the wedding kiss).

Well had a great time, great fun, and loads of laughter therapy.
