Happiness and Peace
I pursued 'life' as a
hobby since I caught myself doing so. I don't remember the actual
time but I realized, that I was pursuing it for, I don't even know
how long. I always wished to know why things happened the way they
did. I always was astonished on the minutest of the detail of
happenings in life. Life as I know can be described in different
ways. Ways as different as the millions of different happenings that
happen in our life. If I go on describing life, then even I would be
assisting and contradicting myself in each line of this article, so
I will just restrict myself to the topic 'Peace and Happiness'.
Life is all about attaining peace and happiness, isn't it? Just wait
and think for a moment... I know that your answer is certainly yes.
If god suddenly appears out of haze in front of you and asks you a
wish, that will instantly granted... then asking for ' peace and
happiness' will be the fastest and safest way, to ask everything
that counts. Even if these 'two' words feel like synonyms to each
other, they are rather very difficult to have
simultaneously.
Happiness is a feeling of human mind which makes him enjoy the
present decor of life. It is enjoyment that makes you feel this
emotion called happiness. Mostly It is the 'transitions' that arouse
happiness. Transitions are the changes that happen in life, the
phases or the spells that differ from each other are separated from
each other with
a 'transition'. This is my own phenomenon so I will have to explain
it with an example... If 'sea' and 'land' are phases, then the coast
or beach is the 'transition'. ever wondered, why the most beautiful
places are beaches- where the land meets sea, or snow covered
mountains- where the ice seams meets the sky, or the first rain
after a sunny noon, or just why do we cherish dusk or the dawn, and
the list is endless, just think of a while and you will find all
your happy moments surrounding these transitions. Let me just clear
the example a bit more with respect to life-
Ever had something you wanted desperately... that is happiness, now,
ask a question to yourself, after a while does that thing provide
you happiness. It is just like having a glass of water when you are
thirsty, you have one glass and you feel 'good' this emotion is
happiness, but what happens with a second glass or a third glass of
water? So happiness is just like a mirage the only difference
is, it sooths you for a while and then shifts further. It is not
completely an illusion but none the less of it.
Peace is a state of human mind which is unaware of the present, past
or future, it is just the feeling of 'being'. The state in which the
human mind is unaffected by the happenings, even being aware of
them. Or it can be achieved by being unaware of all the happenings
of life... the point is to a peaceful mind, nothing matters. If a
person is
happy, a sad news can steal away his happiness in a simple second,
but peace is free and floating condition that has no strings
attached. You can very well argue that a mis-happening can certainly
get the peace out of your life. The simple answer is... The 'peace'
you are referring here is not the actual state of peace. It is not
that the mis-happening pulled you out of that state, but the fact is
you were already out of the state well before experiencing the act
of life. This may seem to conclude that, peace is a state that can
not be achieved in a conscious state...
partly and almost perfectly true.

Happiness and
Introduction of god
Happiness is just a transition, a temporary phase of life not a
state. Peace can be defined as a constant state of flux of mind
which is not dependent on the transitions of life, to make it feel
soothing. Here you can also say that Happiness is a function of body
whereas Peace is a function of mind. Do you think a soothing state
of both mind and body can be achieved simultaneously?
Think a while...
I found the answer to be 'no'... and believe me I can present my own
case studies as a proof...
Saying a 'no', I do not know if there is certainty to 'anything
being impossible' but it may be possible under huge set of
constraints and assumptions, that are highly improbable in practical
life. So if possible then it is at least out of my reach at this
point of my life.
Now, Coming back to god, god is very intelligent and supreme, so he
knows you have asked a lot in the first place, he simply denies you
your wish and asks you to choose one of them... now he has got you.
You tried to outsmart him and asked for a foolproof wish, but now
you are wondering you would have rather asked for all that would
yield
happiness, ie; the material things in life and asked peace along
with it. That would have been a smart move. But now you are in the
midst of your everything and trying to figure out something that was
always otherwise so basic. Hats off to god, he has proved himself
very clever, because if you know the difference, then probably you
may achieve
both and god has to do nothing miraculously and still give you all
you asked for. It won't even be called a cheating, ha ha... that's
why we call god the greatest, don't we.
I spent sleepless nights just wondering which one of them is more
important,

Having peace
You can have peace but there are many material things in life that
you wish to attain. Human being is a an animal
with insatiable demands, it likes to grow. Peace is a state where
there are no wants, no desires and may be not even
comfort. These 'wants' can not let you attain a peaceful stature as
they are specifically the 'opposite' of peace.
These wants are the irritants of the human mind, to prove this just
think of what happens to your concentration when
you desperately or even sparingly want something.
'Rishi Munis' are said to attain peace by letting everything go, the
world, the society, and everything you live
with. We don't want that do we? We are so much entangled in our
lives that attaining complete peace is not possible,
rather it would be foolish, even to run for it. So now we are
pointing towards a balance or an equilibrium, is it?
The case of rishi's is just an extreme, that is not the peace we
seek here. In this article too the peace is referred
to the state which we can achieve in our present lives, we are not
going to sacrifice a life for a stupid state of
mind that we don't even exactly know, what is?
Now comes the difficult part... asking questions and raising issues
is different, and the answering part is tough. I do not know whether I'll be able to put my mind here exactly or
not. It is not even exactly clear to me and it is
a thing which can not exactly be explained too... it is a thing to
be thought of and experienced by oneself. If you
understand the question you don't need the answer but if you do not
understand the question... it's no point to
answer.
I am an engineer by profession and I can explain this concept
clearly scientifically. To start off with it I
would first like to tell you that I am an atheist and still I refer
to god more than often. I don't believe that god
is an entity, but all and all of everything, you can not please him
or dismay him. Being weird but one's god is one
himself.

The duality
concept
I take 'god' as a term for reference to understand and even
explain. I take it as an assumption, as it is taken in
some mathematical problems, in which the assumption is later
discarded and still you get the answer. The answer
wouldn't have been formulated without the assumption but at the end
the assumption is no longer required.
Now coming back to answer,
You will have to update your physics to get it...
I can refer happiness and peace as a simultaneous thing where they
both are attached together but they can not
exist at the same time. It would have been impossible for me to
explain or even understand the phenomenon if I
didn't have an example. Yes there is a parallel explanation. The
explanation is also as unnoticeable as both peace
and happiness but yet so very around us every time
.
It is 'Light'.
Light is one of the most relevant yet most unsorted
mystery of physics but strikingly similar to the
phenomenon of ' happiness and peace'. We are here in search of a
combination of 'Happiness and peace' , a
combination of emotion of both 'mind and body'. I'll state a term
for their combination, as they are inseparable yet
non co-existent. I call it 'CHEER'. Just imagine how light describes
two kind of phenomenon;
One is explained by The wave nature
and other by the particle nature.
Thus light has dual characteristic. Same as the state of cheer.
Light is an electro-magnetic wave, ie; It is a wave traversing in a
direction with two waves that propagate in the perpendicular direction of the direction of
propagation and
perpendicular to each other. A particle on the classical
view is a concentration of energy and other properties in space and
time, whereas a wave is spread out over a larger
region of space and time. The question whether light are streams of
particles (corpuscles) or waves is a very old
one. This "either - or" formulation was classically natural and
alien to the advanced "both - and" even the "neither
- nor" solution of today.
now consider other duality- the mass and energy duality-
Light constantly reciprocates into matter and energy, It can not be
in both states at the same time, either it is
matter or it is energy, you notice which string I wish to pluck
here?
Yes, consider cheer as light having dual nature of both peace and
happiness. Both are dependent on each other but
can not exist at same time. Peace can be transformed into happiness
and happiness into peace, I will definitely
discuss this at length later with example. Continuing, Cheer is what
makes life worth living, It is not a thing to
run after, you will have to realize that both peace and happiness
can not be achieved together, and neither one is
ever lasting. BUt to live a perfect life you will have to
continuously switch between happiness and peace ie; live
with 'cheer'.

Attaining CHEER
The way of attaining cheer- Neither happiness nor peace should be
sought for a long period, the quicker the
transitions you have, the more cheer you attain. And that is the
state of soothing mind and body.
I hope I have given you the answer as explanatory as the question
itself, this is my sight of happiness and peace.
As I said, taking the assumption of god, Now it's time to rollback
my assumption...
I explain god as a form of 'energy' and human as a form of 'matter'.
They both are the same thing, just that, No one
living can explain god as human can not understand it's own form of
energy and when he does, he 'is' the energy, ie;
god. Maybe that is what is referred as oneness with god or unison.
That is my funda of god.
I am always a scientific person but spirituality can be explained
and compared to a lot many scientific phenomenon's
of day-to-day life. The problem with spirituality alone is that it
can not be explained or rather believed without
scientific help. Just think about it... how else would I be able to
understand the concept of cheer if I didn't have
the ideology of duality? If it took us generations to just
understand a few concepts of 'light' how can we imagine to
understand 'life'?
